Uncommon Goods | Christmas Gift Guide

Is there anything harder than picking out presents for so many different people at Christmas? There's always that one person (in my case, my boyfriend!) who is super hard to buy for and you end up panic buying last minute because you spent way to long browsing, only to still not find that *perfect* gift. UncommonGoods may be able to give you a little inspiration and help you find some fun Christmas gift ideas for all your loved ones.

You may not of heard of UncommonGoods before, I hadn't. They approached me recently and asked if I fancied putting together a Christmas gift guide from their site, but before I agreed I had a good look through the site to see if it was my kind of thing. I found SO many bits I loved. I liked that they support independent sellers, helping talented people who make handmade goods sell them easier. It's an online marketplace to connect makers and buyers, a little like the popular UK brand Not On The High Street. Also, when you place an order they donate $1 to a non profit organization through the Better To Give program. You may have noticed I've mentioned $$ - it’s an american company but they do ship to the UK.

Now onto the bits I love, I found a lot of cute pieces but I tried to choose stuff that was on the slightly more affordable side. I hope you to like what I've chosen.

Unicorn Bangle £29.70 - Tell me this isn’t the sweetest little bracelet. I cant resist anything with a unicorn on, it totally excites my inner 5 year old.

Party Sprinkles - £17.48 - SPRINKLES! I can't decide if it’s the gorgeous pink tin, the tiny little wooden spoon or the millions of mixed rainbow sprinkles that's drawn me to this product? If I could I would put sprinkles on everything I eat. Come to think of it, i'm a 29 year old adult - I COULD do that!

Mermaid Socks £13.71 - It’s not Christmas if you don't get at least one pair of socks right? Mermaids are very on trend at the moment and these ones look mer-mazing. Yep I really just said that, did I mention i was 29? ha. These are actually one of the best mermaid inspired socks i've seen! They are the perfect stocking filler idea.

Elwood The Rainbow Mug £28.94 - Oh look another unicorn, what a surprise. I love mugs and unicorns so it was inevitable I found one. They also do a cereal bowl that matches too.

Microwave Popcorn Popper £11.42 - This excited me way more than it probably should of done, it’s literally just a popcorn popper. I think it’s because it has a butter melter on top. Imagine how good that popcorn would taste with salted butter melted into it. Totally craving popcorn right now. Maybe a fab gift for friends too!

Llamarama Zipped Purse £13.71 - I might of partially chosen this because it had LLAMARAMA in the name, that is hilarious isnt it? I can imagine a little 3 piece singing llama band. Anyway, llama’s are really current at the moment and I love the little furry beasts, although I do prefer a alpaca if we are being picky - they don't spit and are SO fluffy. Who doesn't need a zip purse to keep random crap in - I keep sweets, hair pins, painkillers and lipstick ect in mine.

Long Winters Nap Candle £22.85 - Anyone who reads this blog knows how much I love a candle. I like that this has the cracking flame wick, really cosy sound. It’s a real winter/christmassy sent too, cinnamon, vanilla and sugar plum. It's the tartan logo that made me include this though, no other patten is associated with Christmas more than a bit of red tartan.

Succulents Puzzle £12.81 - Last but certainly not least, well in my eyes anyway. Christmas is when you get out all the board games and become stupidly competitive but I've got an alternative. Cacti and succulents are the new hipster thing and I bloody love them so why on earth would I not want a puzzle with them on? It's 1000 pieces so enough to keep you out of trouble for a few hours.

Which were your favourites? They've pretty much got gifts for everyone. I hope this has given you a bit of inspiration and made you think about buying from a independent seller this Christmas. Give the gift of handmade.

Until Next Time xo
